Stuart MacBride
Stuart MacBride is the author of several bestselling novels featuring DS Logan McRae, the most recent of which, Shatter the Bones, reached No. 1 in the Sunday Times bestseller list. His most recent title, Birthdays for the Dead, was a standalone thriller which also went straight to the Number 1 slot. The McRae novels have won Stuart the CWA’s Dagger in the Library, the Barry Award for Best Debut Novel, and Best Breakthrough Author at the ITV3 crime thriller awards. His other works include Halfhead, a near-future thriller, Sawbones, a novella aimed at adult emergent readers, and several short stories.
Before Stuart was a crime writer he tried his hand at many professions: he was a graphic designer, an undertaker, and an actor to name just a few. Stuart lives in the north-east of Scotland with his wife, Fiona and cat, Grendel.
